Why we should leave the EU |
|
It is essential that the UK leaves the EU for the future economic and independence of our nation. In a ever smaller global world it is ludicrous to restrict ourselves into a small protectionist euro zone. Britain needs to be free to trade globally in its best interests not tied into a single European policy such as the common agricultural policy they only benefit French and German farmers. Our fishing industry has been decimated and even a cashmere industry affected by trade wars that have nothing to-do with us. Britain is the fourth largest economy in the world, it has the highest growth the in G7 nations (which includes France and Germany) This growth also coincided with the introduction of the ‘euro’ and Britain keeping the pound. Britain is a leading member of the United Nations, Nato and the Commonwealth. Europe's fastest growing economy is Norway which is not a member of the EU and does not enjoy Britain’s levels of global trade and connections. It is a euro myth of epic proportions that Britain cannot survive out side the EU. Indeed, we are stifled inside it. Currently 70—83% of our laws are being made by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. Because EU officials and Commissioners are specifically required not to take into account the interests of their own country, such legislation may disregard Britain’s national interest. Since 1497 when records began, the UK Parliament has created just over 25,000 pieces of legislation. Since the UK presidency began in July 2005 more than 3000 pieces of EU laws and regulations have been enforced on the UK. Our elected government is powerless to prevent this. UK courts are bound by European Law . Our legal system is being turned upside down. Slowly but surely it is turning into the Napoleonic code system . The beginning of eradication of Magna Carta rights of trial by jury is a perfect example of this. Further braches of Magna Carta (the basis of human rights in this country) include unlimited detention without charge (in the absence of habeas corpus). Our commercial law was the first to be affected, this was instrumental in destroying our fishing fleets (Factortame case) and then the banning of imperial measurers designed to deny British Companies any ‘natural’ advantage when quoting for American contracts. In 1999 the government puts the net contribution cost of our EU membership at £8.5 billion (equal to 4p of income tax) and the current estimates put it at £11billion . The pro EU Institute of Directors calculated it more than double that estimate—and rising. Indirect costs—complying with regulations, loss of earnings from farming, fishing, etc raise the overall cost further. Withdrawal from the EU would yield Britain a £25 billion ’independence Dividend’ This money needs to be spent where we need it most, on our education, our health care, our infrastructure and investing in our future. Not being wasted in the fraudulent EU where the auditors have refused to pass the accounts for the eleventh successive year! Billions and billions of euros have simply disappeared. One of the most compelling reasons not to further integrate and leave the EU is not to bind and betray future generations. Being in the EU means that all our national resources—gold reserves, North Sea Gas & oil, fish stocks—will have to be placed at the disposal of the EU. The debts of continental pension funds will become the debts of our children—who may not be assured of pensions of their own. The ‘acquis communautaire’ (= ratchet) process ensures that EU legislation is unlikely ever to be repealed or amended.

We'll negotiate a withdrawal from the EEC, which has drained our national resources and destroyed jobs. |
