Unless your over 48 years old, you will have never have been given a chance to vote on the UK’s membership of the EU. That's half of the electorate. Even in 1975 we were told that membership of the then Common Market was only a trading agreement and did not impact on our sovereignty. Time has shown this to be a lie. Sovereignty lies with the people not politicians and successive governments have breached their powers in giving it away to unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. It is time for a national debate and a fair unbiased referendum on our membership of the EU. I urge you to the sign the national petition for such a debate (click on the picture). |

ID Cards have been heralded by the government as a way to protect us from terrorism and criminal behaviour, they also expect us to pay £85 each for the privilege! However, it is a fools paradise. The complicated unproven technology is a non starter. Those intended on such behaviour will always find a way to replicate them. The 9/11 hijackers all had official ID papers. Foreign visitors will be exempt leaving a glaring hole in the much vaunted protection. This is another example of the ‘nanny obsessed’ Labour government and their willingness to be dictated to by the EU in their relentless drive to form a Orwellian United States of Europe. |

In the UK we are fortunate enough to live in one of the richest countries in the world. (We spent more on our NHS than the poorest 185 counties of the United Nations GDP put together) It is a harsh, unpalatable, unfortunate reality that the population of many countries live in poverty. There is no easy fix. This problem needs to be addressed today, tomorrow and every day to begin to make a difference. Te people of these affected countries do not just need our charity and sympathy, they need our pro active help. This is why I support this campaign.
The EU despite claiming to help are part of the problem. The EU Common Agricultural Policy subsidises EU (usually French) produce undercutting African nations in their attempts to trade their way out of poverty. The EU also dumps tons of food on the African market so that local produce becomes worthless. In the last round of global trade talks in Cancun, the EU totally reneged on their promises to Africa and now have the temerity to fish off the African cost because Spanish trawlers have over fished in Europe’s waters. Britain is powerless to stop this. Britain is also restricted by the EU on how much aid it can give. |

Despite spiralling graduate debt, a decrease in application to universities and universal condemnation of the policy, Blair now supported by the Tories continue to argue its merits. It's sickening that a Labour party, whose members got grants when they attended university, should impose such an elitist system. UKIP is opposed to top up fees and would return to the grant system funded by income no longer surrendered to the EU. |

Thanks to an EU Directive the Post Office was forced to deregulate and had to dispose of some of its more profitable areas. This has led downsizing of the Post Office which has meant many small Post Offices closing despite their value to the local community. This is a classic example of the need to make our own laws to fit in with our own culture and needs. This fantastic animation draws attention to the impact in our communities. |
